National Sales Manager, India – Medical Simulation

Our client is a fast-growing international company with an interdisciplinary background in engineering and medicine, winner of multiple national and international awards. With our best-in-class medical training technology, we aim for a future where no doctor should be allowed to treat a patient without having practiced on a virtual reality trainer. Just as pilots use flight simulators, physicians worldwide value our training equipment to optimally learn and prepare themselves for performing medical procedures on patients. Our client is an SME with over 100 employees across its headquarters in Zurich and two branch offices in Miami and Shanghai.

To support the continued growth of the company, they are now looking to expand their business in India and have an opening for the position of National Sales Manager, India.


Your Goals

You will seek to maximize the revenues from sales of our products and services in India, primarily through a network of sales partners. You will supervise, train, and support our local distribution partners in all states and territories of India, ultimately ensuring that deals are closed. You will help these partners to generate sales leads, execute sales activities directly with end-customers, such as university hospitals, medical training centres, etc. To succeed, your tasks will include:


  • Scale and drive indirect sales by managing a network of local sales partners to generate revenues
  • Support sales partners “hands-on”, e.g. execute direct sales activities such as cold calls, product demonstrations, congresses
  • Manage existing accounts for up- and cross-selling to existing customers and their peers
  • Propose and execute marketing strategies for both private and public sector markets in India
  • Cooperate with colleagues from other departments and offices, especially for technical support and marketing communications, to optimally serve customers and support sales partners


Your Profile

To enjoy and succeed in your role, you should:


  • Have substantial experience in managing distributors
  • Have experience in sales, preferably in medical devices or similar fields
  • Being a self-starter and having an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Be reliable and able to work independently in a structured manner
  • Be able to systematically prioritize tasks and handle multiple efforts and accounts in parallel
  • Be willing to travel to all regions of India for a significant amount of your work time (60-80% per month, occasionally also on weekends and public holidays)
  • Speak English and Hindi fluently orally and in writing, any additional local language is beneficial
  • Preferably have worked for an international company previously for more than 1 year
  • Have a post-graduate degree (at least MA/MSc) and 5+ years of professional experience
  • Live close to a major airport with domestic flights to most parts of the country
